Tabba ("Tabba," "we," "us") provides bookkeeping, tax-advantaged planning, and a client portal at tabbaonline.com (the "Service"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how it's protected when you use the Service.

Information we collect

  • Account information — name and email address, collected and managed by our authentication provider, Clerk, when you create an account.
  • QuickBooks Online data — when you connect your QuickBooks Online company, we access your financial data (invoices, expenses, balance sheet, and related reports) through Intuit's API to build your dashboard. We access this data live, on your request, and do not permanently store your financial figures in our own database.
  • Uploaded documents — receipts, invoices, and other files you upload through the portal. These are stored securely and also synced to your QuickBooks Online company as attachments.
  • Usage information — basic technical information (such as login timestamps) needed to operate and secure the Service.

How we use your information

We use your information solely to provide the Service: syncing uploaded documents to your QuickBooks Online company, displaying your financial dashboard, and communicating with you about your account. We do not sell your information, and we do not use your financial data for advertising.

How your information is stored and protected

Account credentials are managed by Clerk. Uploaded files are stored in a private Vercel Blob store that is not publicly accessible. Connection metadata (such as QuickBooks authorization tokens) is stored in an encrypted Postgres database hosted by Neon. All access to these systems requires authenticated, server-side credentials that are never exposed to the browser.

Who we share information with

We share information only with the service providers that operate the Service on our behalf:

  • Intuit / QuickBooks Online — to read your financial data and store synced document attachments, under the access you authorize.
  • Clerk — to authenticate your account.
  • Neon and Vercel — to host our database, files, and application infrastructure.

We do not sell or rent your information to third parties for marketing purposes.

Your choices

You can disconnect your QuickBooks Online company at any time from your Account page — this revokes our access with Intuit and removes your stored connection. To request deletion of your account or uploaded documents, contact us at accounting@tabbaonline.com.
